Directions from the airport

Public transport
Take bus 200E to Kobanya-Kispest metro station (the terminal stop of the bus route). When you get off the bus under Koki shopping centre you should ascend the nearest steps and cross to the metro station. Then take the metro to the Déak Ferenc tér stop.

One metro transfer ticket (530huf) will cover the entire journey. The tickets comes in two numbered parts, the first of which should be stamped on the bus in the orange boxes and the second as you enter the metro station.

When you exit the metro follow the signs for Déak Ferenc tér and ascend the escalator. Turn right and then left and ascend the second, shorter escalator to the surface. Exit the station to the right and turn right. Walk directly ahead and cross Erzsébet tér diagonally to the left and then right into Október 6 utca. Zrinyi utca is the second left and number 14 is the first door on the right, just after the Ernst Gallery.

Tickets are available at the information desk, a machine beside the bus stop and from the bus driver. 24 and 72 hour passes (1650HUF and 4150HUF), which cover all forms of transport, are also available.

Taxi
The official taxi service is located outside the main door of the terminal building. The journey to the city centre will cost around 7000HUF (approximately 22 euro). You should get the taxi to 1051 Budapest, Zrinyi utca 14. The taxi will most likely drop you off at the corner of Október 6 utca, as Zrinyi utca is pedestrianised. You should walk away from St. Stephen's basilica and number 14 wll be on your right after the Ernst gallery.

Mini Bus
There is also a mini bus taxi service, which brings several passengers to various parts of the city centre. This is marginally cheaper than a taxi, though can take as long as using the public transport system, depending on the order in which passengers are dropped off.
